Lower Mainland Ringette League

The LMRL AA Program

The Lower Mainland Ringette League AA Program combines the top ringette players in the Lower Mainland with the most qualified and capable coaching staff available to produce some of the finest ice sport teams to ever hit the ice. Our high performance LMRL AA Thunder teams demonstrate the sport of ringette at its best with unparalleled competition that's fast, powerful and exciting.

AA 'Thunder' Program

Participation on the AA Thunder teams is available for players in the Tween, Junior, Belle and Open divisions through an annual "tryout" process. Athletes selected to the Tween AA Thunder team play in a Provincial AA Championship round vying for the right to represent the province against the top Tween AA teams from BC to Manitoba at the Western Canadian Ringette Championships. Athletes selected to the Junior, Belle and Open AA Thunder teams compete in a Provincial AA Championships for the right to represent the province at the prestigious Canadian Ringette Championships national competition.

Development 'Lightning' Program

The LMRL AA Program Development Lightning teams provide a vehicle for aspiring AA-capable players to hone their skills in preparation for participation on a future LMRL AA Thunder team. The Development Lightning program is currently open to players at the Petite, Tween and Junior levels. These teams participate in supplemental league play and may attend a single out-of-province tournament.

Registration

LMRL AA Program teams are selected annually in September. Tryouts occur in September and, at the discretion of the AA Program committee, may include a set of ice times in the spring. Click here to download the latest registration form and submission instructions.
